Light Chemical Peels
A light peel is proposed whereby the concept underlying this intervention is the use of either glycolic gel or the acid medium provoking marked exfoliation and crusting in the skin. The latter is due to the increased turnover of skin cells and facial texture rejuvenation occurs obviously to an extent relative to the depth of the peel. The aesthetic result is usually manifest within 2 weeks of the intervention when healing is complete. There is no necessity for anesthesia during peeling and most of the time professional and social activity may be resumed immediately afterwards. Chemical peeling may be performed on all skin phototypes, in all regions of the body and all year round. It is an excellent treatment for acne vulgaris, superficial scars, fine wrinkling and pigmentation.
